The dates indicated below are given according to "Lanka Panchanga Grahasputa Litha". Which is One of the best Almanacs of Ephemeris in Sri Lanka.

What is an Auspicious Day

Auspicious day means the "Panchanga" or the five components (Dina, Nakshtra, Thithi, Yoga, Karana) of the particular date is auspicious. Majority of those components are dependent on the position of the moon and the earth. Good panchanga does not mean that particular day is good for every body.

Good or bad depends on the "Janma Nakshtra" (Nakshtra at the time of birth or the Birth Star) of the person. If a person's Janma Nakshtra is auspiciously compatible with the Nakshtra of the particular day, then it is a real good date for him.

What is an Auspicious Moment - Suba Muhurtha

Auspicious Moment or a Suba muhurtha must to be calculated for a particular geographic position within the frame of an auspicious day using the time of sunrise for that particular position as the starting point.

Duration of a auspicious moment is usually 3 - 4 minutes. Converting a suba muhurtha using corresponding time is wrong. Ex. If an astrologer has told you 10.45 am is a suba muhurta for a marriage ceremony at Colombo. Using the same time for a ceremony at Trincomallee or the corresponding time in Sydney is wrong as times of sunrise are different.

That is why only the Auspicious Days are given below and the Auspicious time is not indicated.

Please use it as a guide to plan your auspicious activity such as marriage ceremony venue bookings. Then check with an astrologer to see whether the "Nakshtra" of that date is good for you or not, and if good, then get an auspicious moment calculated according to your geographic location
